Development of Dropcampers

Drop Campers was founded in 2017 by brothers Mario and Albert Fernández. Because of their shared fascination with nature, outdoor activities, engines and design, they decided to look for an alternative travel option that would meet their needs.

During a family trip across the USA, they discovered the classic mini teardrop caravans, which were small, beautiful, functional, comfortable, all-terrain, aerodynamic, self-sufficient and very popular in other countries. Inspired by family and friends, they decided to build their own caravans and give others the opportunity to enjoy the longing for freedom and mobility.

They wanted to professionally highlight traditional crafts and crafts, integrating new trends and technologies but preserving the emotions that can be conveyed by treating the materials with respect.

As a sustainable company, Drop Campers is constantly looking for new ways to protect the environment and minimize its own global footprint. The aim is to develop a model of a mini caravan that will change travel in the long term and create well-being.

The company is guided by a philosophy and values that are reflected in everything it does. The founders believe that they are not only "doers" but also humble "changemakers" making this a better place to live by inspiring, connecting and equipping those who are pursuing lifestyles of change and positive impact.

Family and friends have gradually joined DropCampers and developed a sustainable cooperative that understands society and economy from an inclusive and innovative perspective. Since 2021, Mario and Albert Fernández have passed responsibility to the younger generation, Oriol Calders and Gerard Gomà, who now largely lead the project.

DropCampers mini-caravans are the result of a collaborative and highly personalized creative journey for a discerning, active public with a sense of design and the environment.
